Radios in Aviation

  • There are a few other bands used for specific additional purposes!
  • Uses AM for all voice

  • Readbacks are mandatory, not just if you can't hear

So what on Earth do we talk about?

It depends on the aerodrome and airspace!

Air Traffic Control

No authority over the runway

Coordinates ground movements

Still help advise about traffic in the air

No authority at all!
